Rainy 4th...No BIG Deal.

For the first time that I can remember we had a very rainy 4th of July at our house.  Of course it did not stop Mom and Byron from making some AWESOME food and we got a little 4th of July fun in between showers.  We sure did miss dad though...no more traveling on holidays!
We were so glad to have Linda (one of my dear friends from teaching) join us for the 4th!   Can you believe she was up at 4:00 to do the Peachtree Road Race and STILL made it to join us for dinner and fireworks...what a trooper!
The rain didn't stop our grilling!

Byron's first attempt at making ribs was incredibly successful!  I was so proud...and he was too ;)

Here's just SOME of the spread at the Haberman's house...such good food and a perfect place to watch fireworks!

Ashley, Parker, and Emily getting ready for fireworks while eating some boiled peanuts.  I am not a huge fan of boiled peanuts, but my family insists that "green peanuts" are the way to go.
My sweet mom and I.
Byron, Brecken, and I rocking on the porch (under the fan...can't stand the heat anymore!)
Just some of my delicious food!  Notice all of the food is homemade and home grown including the salsa!  I LOVE living in the country!
Baby Brecken's first fireworks!
What's a 4th of July in Georgia without a few "Redneck Fireworks"?  These got a little scary when the boys decided to start shooting bottle rockets at each other.  Is this what I have to look forward to?!?!

So glad you guys had a good 4th, even if it was rainy. We sure need the rain here! Hopefully Brecken liked the fireworks! :)
